Description: Job OverviewThe Shipping Specialist plays a key role in making sure customer orders are accurately packed, labeled, and shipped out on time. While the primary focus is on preparing outbound shipments, this role also helps support other warehouse functions like receiving, inventory, and basic mechanical prep work. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience using UPS, FedEx, USPS, and LTL platforms who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a can-do attitude are a mustResponsibilities and Duties--- Pick, pack, and label orders based on shipping schedules or customer orders.--- Use shipping platforms (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL) to generate labels and manage shipments.--- Verify contents of shipments and ensure proper packaging to prevent damage in transit.--- Maintain accurate shipping documentation, including invoices and tracking information.--- Flex into other warehouse areas (receiving, inventory, mechanical prep) as needed.--- Assist with tracking shipments and resolving delivery issues.--- Keep workstations neat, organized, and in line with safety standards.--- Contribute to a positive team environment by being dependable and flexible.Requirements: Preferred Qualities-- Experience using shipping systems (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, LTL platforms).-- Basic knowledge of shipping documents like bills of lading, packing slips, etc.-- Familiarity with barcode scanning and basic warehouse equipment.Requirements-- Attention to detail and accuracy in labeling and order fulfillment.-- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and shipping tools.-- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.-- Must be a team player with a strong, positive attitude and willingness to learn.Benefits-- 100% employer-paid Medical and dental plans-- Vision insurance-- 100% employer-paid Life Insurance-- Annual Bonus Program-- 401k Matching-- Paid holidays-- Paid Time OffAbout Freedom ElectronicsFreedom Electronics is a team of passionate and capable engineers, certified technicians, sales and support representatives, warehouse professionals, and administrative staff.
