Job Description:

Waste Treatment Operator McCormick Commission is accepting applications for Waste Treatment Operator. This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and wastewater system. Duties include operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants, sewer outfall lines, and lift stations. Preference given to applicants with Class D or better wastewater license. Will consider trainee applicants. Trainees must be able to obtain a Class D license within 12 months by passing the SC DHEC Class D operator s test. (Basic math, chemistry and biology as related to wastewater operations) All applicants must possess a valid driver's license, satisfactory work history review, be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and have a high school diploma or GED.
