Job Title: Research Technician

Hours/Schedule: M-F 8-5
Type: Contract

Overview
This role provides essential support to laboratory scientists in executing experiments and research studies with accuracy. Responsibilities include operating laboratory equipment, processing experimental data, collecting samples, recording observations, analyzing results, managing inventory and supplies, and preparing study reports for team and management review.

Responsibilities Support the development, validation and execution of analytical assays based on a variety of biological techniques including but not limited to DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, ELISA, Flow cytometry, Western blots
Processing of biological matrices including but not limited to: plasma, serum, tissue, PBMC isolation
Support the establishment, characterization, maintenance, banking, expansion and freezing of cell lines
Assist in the printing of compounds using specialized dispensing equipment
Transportation of samples between client sites as needed. Coordinate and organize shipment of reagents/samples within the US and outside the US as needed
Support of animal experiments by provision of the conceptual test article and subsequent analysis of animal samples resulting from animal experiments
Documentation and execution of experiments is in compliance with internal procedures and guidance
Ensure lab space and equipment is functional and well maintained
Prepare reports on laboratory activities as required by management
Inventory and consumables are managed in an efficient and cost-effective way
Adherence to all applicable Legal, Environmental, Health and Safety regulations for handling and disposing of reagents/samples
Keep abreast of new developments in the field of research and incorporate them into the lab's operations as appropriate

Requirements Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (biology, microbiology, genetics, immunology etc). Master's Degree preferred
3 years hands-on experience in a research laboratory, conducting

Hands-on cell culture, biological assays including but not limited to ??DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, ELISA. Flow cytometry
Cell sorting experience is a plus
