Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coder III to analyze and translate
medical diagnoses and procedures into numerical codes.
Key Responsibilities
Reviews patient information and assigns codes for billing,
insurance, and reporting purposes
Discusses documentation inconsistencies with providers and educates
staff on coding and billing compliance
Performs basic chart auditing for accuracy
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
3-5 years of Multi-specialty coding experience
1-3 years of Surgical coding experience
Certifications such as Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based
and Certified Professional Coder
Specialty Coding certification from relevant professional
organizations
