Position Summary
UGA Field Services provides wellness and emergency care in an
ambulatory setting to the surrounding community. The UGA Field
Services Section serves a diverse caseload consisting of horses
(-75%), cattle (-10-15%), small ruminants (-5-10%), camelids and
companion swine (DACVS-LA, DACVSMR, DACVIM, DACT, DACVDC, Cert.
ZWD, DACVPM). Two Field Service clinicians are additionally
certified in acupuncture and spinal manipulation, with one
clinician also being a certified journeyman farrier.
The Staff Veterinarian would help support a busy daytime caseload
approximately 3-4 days per week and would provide daytime and
after-hours emergency coverage. The Staff Veterinarian would cover
approximately 30% of after-hours emergencies in all large animal
species (-60% equine, -15-20% cattle, -15-20% small ruminant, and
other
