Job Description:

Seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to design and specify advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems, improve manufacturing support and maintenance programs, and drive capital projects from strategic planning to implementation.

Design and specify advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems to improve manufacturing support and maintenance programs.

• 
  
• Design control systems for machine tools, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
  
• Select capital equipment for manufacturing processes.
  
• Improve current machine tools to increase uptime, quality, and productivity.
  
• Provide engineering support to production equipment and processes, including advising maintenance.
  
• Establish programs for cost savings activities to support overall plant requirements.
  
• Advise on improving preventative maintenance programs.
  
• Consult with suppliers and internal engineers for continuous improvement programs.
  
• Authorize and approve changes to machine tool programs.
  
• Train associates on new technologies and manufacturing processes.
  
• Maintain and follow Quality Management System and Environmental Management System requirements.
  
• Participate in teams and champion team activities.
  
• Track and accumulate cost savings.
  
• Develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as needed.
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
    
  • Technical knowledge in machine function, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.
    
  • Technical knowledge in mechanical design.
    
  • Detailed abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning.
    
  • Mentor and develop maintenance personnel.
    
  • Assist other plants/facilities with technical problems.
    
  • Self-manage assigned project tasks.
    
  • Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving methods.
